we´ve been travelling a lot the last few days, from el salvador through honduras and nicaragua_with all the border crossings, bureaucracy and payments that entails
many stories are waiting to be told, and they shall be told for sure! MORE photos soon, i promise, its just a matter of connectivity and photoshop access!
now we´re off to eat some ceviche and test those caribbean waters_then we must find a cabaña in plya chiquita or cocles

we´re still flippin out on the el zonte beach, lovin our family life with marta and samuel on one hand, and hangin with the headz on the other_sharin´ tastey things during the festive season_life is a present and our duty to make the most of it_from here i send out the warmest feeliings to all wherever you are_good health, love and happiness to all

lokosssss!
pues hemos llegado a el salvador, a wonderful boogie boarder beach called el
zonte and we are finding it very hard to leave–muy BUENA ONDA en el zonte,
instead of 3 days its going to bemore like 10- we found a perfect place for
xmas
we have cool amigos and we even made money yesterday in the CITY, a bit of a
show with fire and drums and girls asking for ca$h, muy buenooo
en nuestra playita no hay conexion, pero he venido al puerto de la libertad y aki si se puede. estamos muy a gusto aki, nos tratan muy bien y estuvimos quedandonos en un sitio que lleva un catalán llamado manel, su lugar se llama casa de frida. tiene cuartos y comidita al borde del mar. esta guay pero sale mucho mas caro k lo k ofrecen por ahi asi k nos hemos trasladado y ahora acampamos en el sitio de al lado. nos vamos a kedar aki a pasar la navidad porque ya tenemos amigos y asi no estamos solos en nicaragua de camino a costa rica para ver a maya, antonio y amanda. nos iremos el 26 y en 3 o 4 dias llegamos a puerto viejo en el lado caribeño de costa rica!
and then head down on the 26th_to see you-WE CAN GET THERE in 3 or 4 days
DRIVING STRAIGHT, WE´LL SEE NICARAGUA LATER I HOPE._people here know the score
about the neighbouring countries and they say we wILL FIND A REGGAE PARTY in or
near puerto viejo…so lets go there_

so we left san cristóbal on the 190 towards palenque, and me, the mapreader, wasn´t really paying attention due to a minor eye infection.
but you shouldn´t really do that if you want to get to your destination. our maps is pretty crappy too though, so i didn´t take any notice of not seeing ocosingo either…til a few hours later some guy is charging us 16 quetzales for spraying our truck and there´s a big sign looming over us that says “welcome to guatemala”…MAYHEM all around us, cars beeping, buses honking and masses of people coming and going. bizarre places that borders are. and suddenly its all very clear, instead of north we went SOUTH! byebye palenque, we are in GUATEMALA. oops.
